Defeated cthulhu eye and can make demonite stuff on a basic anvil/forge, are demon altars useless now?

I found my dungeon, didn't talk to the guy though cos I heard he summons Skeletron, so I had a look inside. Didn't go far cos I heard noises down there, just smashed some pots and stole some stuff off of shelves to furnish my apartments

Why does my client crash when I try to go MP?

Who's easier, eater of worlds or cthulhu?

How are you guys getting armor sets? So Far I've got one full copper set, and a Silver Broadsword using the only silver I ever found. I'm thinking a Large world wasn't such a good idea

How do I get the mapping tool to work? I put it in the folder with all my world data, but that does not work.

So i've got a full set of silver armour and gold weapons, where do i go from here? gold's rare enough that i don't seem to be able to find enough of it to make any armour of it. The only demon altars i can find are in chasms behind rock that i can't mine, so i can't summon any eye of cthulu and i tried to beat the skeleton dungeon boss and died at like 3000 hp left...
