As someone who got bored of MC for exactly this reason: yes. The world is a lot more threatening, and there's a LOT more reward for exploring.

He doesn't have to spawn in your room. He will eventually come into your house if you got him to spawn.

I know this has been answered like 100 times already but "A connection attempt failed because the connected party..." is because I need to forward the port, right? This is for myself trying to join my own server.
