This has more content than Minecraft. And rewards you for exploring with more than odd landscapes and a saddle for a pig
There is still room for Minecraft, they're both small games, play them both!
Earlier today, I was messing around in The Corruption, blowing up Shadow Orbs with dynamite. Unfortunately, I didn't know that after the third orb is destroyed the Eater of Worlds spawns. I freaked out and used my magic mirror to teleport me back to spawn. That didn't go too well for me either though, considering he followed me back.

However, after about 10 deaths, I managed to kill him off.

i've gotten message on my large world saying a meteorite has landed i can never find them though
i'm sat in full shadow armour and appropriate weapons, somebody said earlier i should go to the underworld but i've dug for ages and all i've hit is pools of lava surrounded by rock....
any suggestions?

this game is too fun. 5 hours straight spelunking with my friend.
I was looking for shadow orbs, and the eater of worlds spawned. He killed me and followed me to spawn. He proceeded to pop out of the ground and somehow kill himself. I now have a 6 def helmet early in the game.

Even on a medium world it's a 5 minute walk to the end of the map, which is where I found my first meteorite.
Also best thing to do is first go all the way left and right on your map, you will probably find Skeletron's Dungeon and Corrupted land, from here you can start getting loot.
Also making a huge flat area in air where you can harvest stars / farm monsters / find floating islands [sp](For example farm Lenses to summon a couple of Eye of Chlutlu bosses for great loot[/sp]

Hammer, if it doesn't work you might need a stronger one, I got mine down with a hamaxe from shadow material.
Can't you destroy the ground the Furnace is sitting on?

Why are so many people hosting with Hamachi? The server window tells you what port the game is using, It's one port. One.

It never works for me
It's been the only game to not give me a fuss about opening the port. I just opened both TCP/UDP Ports 31336 through 31338, clicked save, and Boom, done

Personally, I am not allowed access to the router options.
I get the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" and I don't know what to do.
I would really like some help.
I am loving this game, but i really dont like having my Singleplayer character carry over to Multiplayer. And i wish i could edit my characters name. Or can you?
