I hope they add content that remains challenging once you have the best gear. I think I'll restart and limit myself to the lesser equipment with a focus on building.
I kinda think I got in over my head by starting with a Large world. Good stuff is really far apart/hard to get to. Gonna try a medium world and hope for loot.

Maybe they can make gear less regimented and a little more random
I'm in the same boat where I've got full molten (piss easy once you get enough obsidian and hellstone for a fiery greatsword) and all molten tools and I've been in the jungle and I don't really have a big incentive to fight skeletron and get into the dungeon. Maybe if money wasn't nigh worthless?

Even though they said they'd add things across all 'experience' levels, I think they should focus more on making better and better stuff.
Not so much that gear just becomes a linear progression, but so that we constantly have higher and higher levels/difficulty to obtain, like an MMO would by increasing the level cap.

Desperate attempt, but I'll give (ALMOST*) any Valve game to a person that is willing to give me a copy of Terraria, I'm barely short of money on my card and I really want to try this game out.
(* I have already gifted a small amount of Valve games out, but there's still quite a few, Its from the Potato thing)

You don't really need ranged weapons to battle him. Though you'll want a lot of potions if you don't. :v:
I finally reached Hell World on my Large Map. The tunnel goes straight down, four across with two platforms on the right side. There is a huge mushroom farm/outpost half way down JUST before the lava tier.
Shit took an all nighter plus a day.

Well, me and a friend dug this huge 2 wide tunell. Everything was nice and all, we took a break above this lava lake.
Setting up the table and chairs, bottles on the table and all.
AND OUT FROM FUCKING NOWHERE THE EATER OF WORLDS PUMMELED DOWN THROUGH OUR TUNELL, VIOLENTLY RAPED US AND SENT US FLYING INTO THE LAVA.
Best Terraria moment so far.
