If I don't like all the Castlevania/Metroid shit, (considering I've only played the ones which are 2002 -), would you still recommend getting it?

I didn't particularly care for Metroid or Castlevania when I played it, but I think this is a blast.

It's a mere 10 bucks, if you like minecraft you'll probably like this, but if you don't, its just 10 bucks.
What are these spikey orb things I keep finding? they hurt me when I smack them with my hammer.
What Minecraft has over this game is re-playability. Now that I have all the items, I feel like there is nothing left for me to do.. In Minecraft you can always do another building project, in this you can just keep doing dungeons/chasms/bosses and finding the same items over and over..
This game needs more items and bosses real fast to keep people's attention, something that takes a long ass time to earn that is fun in the process. I know this game is a far cry from incomplete, so I'm not terribly worried. All I'm sayin is that something is wrong when you can get the best armor and weapons in the game in 3 days of play on an adventure game like Terraria.

What is this shit down the caverns spitting out some gray stuff?
They are stationary gray shit with big teeth or horns and when I hit them with a hammer it deals damage to me

Demon altars. You can use them to craft certain things. (For example bring 10 lenses to one and you can make a fun little item which you should activate during the night)
