what's the name of the target texture?
wood/underground_woodwall003a
If you're wondering what that "I" sign is, it's an entity that snaps the portal into place so you don't have to spend time aiming for a perfect portal placement. (It's called info_placement_helper)
I couldn't get the info_placement_helper to work, the portals would still just spawn with angles. I was wondering if anyone had it figured out? (I mean, there's no brush/face selection option, how does it know where to place the portals?)
I'm getting a few errors. There's no info_player_start model, so it shows up as a big blue ERROR. Also, when I try to launch from hammer, I get an error: Can't find background image 'materials/console/background_menu_widescreen.vtf'
Did you copy over alien swarm\platform\materials\editor alien swarm\platform\materials\models\editor alien swarm\platform\models\editor to portal 2\portal2\materials\editor portal 2\portal2\materials\models\editor portal 2\portal2\models\editor ^That might fix the missing info_player_start, but I don't know what the missing background_menu_widescreen.vtf error is about.
Sooo many fullbright leaked maps :psyduck: What's going on here?
Sooo many fullbright leaked maps :psyduck: What's going on here?
People don't know how to map :v:
But good on them all the same! It took me ages to get into the "rhythm" so to speak of mappingl Once you get the hang of it, it becomes really fun.
Sooo many fullbright leaked maps :psyduck: What's going on here?
Atleast they're not meant to be fullbright. :v:
[img_thumb]http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/7488/ss20110426074238.jpg[/img_thumb] This one is 128x128. I'm pretty sure it's the standard size. If you're wondering what that "I" sign is, it's an entity that snaps the portal into place so you don't have to spend time aiming for a perfect portal placement. On a side note you can drag those extra vertical tabs around and place them all on the same one to get some extra horizontal space.
http://filesmelt.com/dl/lulz5.jpg that should be good :)
To begin with, you could stack the windows on the right of the screen on top of eachother. Manifest is taking up a lot of space, which it doesn't really need.
Yeah for Hammer I usually just work on one screen, I really only use 2 when 3d modeling.
How do you work on 2 monitors? eyefinity or just drag is across both. Fullscreen doesn't do it.

I updated my playground map to Beta 4. Note that it is an MP-Only map as of right now. http://www.mediafire.com/?omx278jjy9975lc I added two easter eggs, some conversion gel, fixed a leak in the map, added a crusher room, added an incinerator, etc. One of the easter eggs is in the crusher room if you can find it.
