• How to create Portal 2 maps

Even if I put lights in my map, it's still fullbright. Yes I tried to set fullbright to 0 with console. Why is it fullbright?

I fixed the fullbright problem in my map by simply adding a light_spot next to the env_projectedtexture and then, magically, everything turned out great and no more fullbright. Also, I removed the -nodetail thing or something and make that AS box thing.

It still looks good though and I like modern Aperture more than the 50's look.

Okay, what the hell went wrong with my editor? It works and all, but when I compile it makes my map fullbright. As you can see this isn't the maps fault as the vmf compiles with light for other people so what editor setting do I need to fix? Does anyone have a prefab of a chamber elevator? For both start and finish? That would be an excellent resource to have.
