I don't get what the hell im doing xD. But ya [img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/596935925041203426/562FC61B189EA7FB337C74CEE77EC50B3D472BC4/[/img_thumb] Black and white portal ftw
If you really wanna learn about CC just read the wiki article http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Color_correction Thats where I got started, once you get used to it you can make some really neat effects.
Just a quick thing before I sleep, models compiled for source 2007/9 are compatible with Portal 2 right :v:. Or is there a compiler out already for Portal 2.
Just a quick thing before I sleep, models compiled for source 2007/9 are compatible with Portal 2 right :v:. Or is there a compiler out already for Portal 2.
They should load fine. Ive had no problem loading the old materials. Should be the same for the models.

So yeah. Color Correction experiment. I tried to mimic a cool photography look but I can't seem to find the correct balance of color and contrast, and the blend. Here's what I got so far, I'm pretty sure it kinda looks like shit but whatever. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] Media tags don't work with cloud photos.
use [ img_thumb] [ /img_thumb] without the spaces ofcourse.
use [ img_thumb] [ /img_thumb] without the spaces ofcourse.
 thank you <3 [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] Oh and I'm getting a little pissed off. Every time I start a custom map, the gameplay is always stuttering. Like my FPS is technically 60 but my view is really laggy and stuttering and it's as annoying as layla.
Guys, anyone else get the videos to work In-Game? I got one of them to work, the other one doesn't, Vid: http://www.livestream.com/brendanmint/video?clipId=pla_da42f66c-ed33-4b18-af00-781ed8d15a50&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thumb sorry for it not being Youtube if that's a problem.
Portal 2 Hipster Expansion
i fucking saw it coming from miles away too [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] honestly i'm not even close to being a hipster and I find it a really nice filter if done correctly on photos
Layla I'm giving you one warning. You obviously don't take any hints from your bans. Cut the rating trolling, it derails shit, and I don't give a damn if I have to perma you to stop it because the only time I see you there's a good chance people are bitching about you being an asshat.
How do you make cubes self-destruct when thrown into toxic water? Like it is in the game? Thanks!
How do you make cubes self-destruct when thrown into toxic water? Like it is in the game? Thanks!
You could just make a trigger_multiple that whenever a cube touches it, it disintegrates.
You could just make a trigger_multiple that whenever a cube touches it, it disintegrates.
Thanks for the tip, but how would I do that?
You could just make a trigger_multiple that whenever a cube touches it, it disintegrates.
I had it so onstarttouch it spawned another cube.
If I set the trigger_multiple to OnStartTouch -> *make my Boxdropper give a new cube* or OnStartTouch -> *Dissolve cubename*, nothing happens. Edit: Found the solution: http://forums.thinkingwithportals.com/maps-and-modding/how-to-destroy-the-cube-in-water-t669.html
Check the trigger_multiple flags to physics objects.
Yeah, I had not set that. Works now. Thanks for your help!
This is beautiful, but if you're gonna do the plain white above ceiling thing, make the room much higher, or cover it better. Just my opinion. This is startling and doesn't really make sense. It's just not realistic, the plain white I mean, so it needs more cover or more distance from the player. BRILL job though! Looks awesome otherwise!
[img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595810025136196441/C883F59AD3B203B0CD8923B2513D5F0407C18871/[/img_thumb] Badda boom [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] And now I'm doin it rong. How do I fix this lighting? :gonk: [img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595810025136431679/4A3E351DFCE0DDBE2C7D5BDA4A18E212C11B8EE3/[/img_thumb]

Put some env_cubemaps around then load the map ingame and type buildcubemaps in console.
Would someone help me with leaking? I swear to god, I've done every single thing to avoid it that's been mentioned on wiki and in this thread. -removed '-alldetail' from the bsp -put my map in a hollow box func_brushed to 'structure_seal' -followed the Pointfile but it didn't help in the slightest since brushes don't seem to prevent leaking -moved the sealing box to world Halp ;(

Just move the box to world and try compiling again.
Forgot to mention. I've done that too. :((
Does it say you've got a leak? If yes, see if you've left an unused entity outside the map. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] Also, model origins can be where you think they wouldn't be(in some cases, outside in the void), so try disabling all models(using visgroups), if it compiles correctly, start looking for the one that's causing the leak.
someone make a map with the paints just spewing out like the conversion gel.
I got a problem: Whenever I use GCFScape to open "pak01_dir.vpk" it just gives me one single folder, named "root". Theres nothing in it, at all. Anyone got any idea whats wrong?

Not sure. Gonna try to redownload it. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] It's working now, thanks!

I used portal2 nodraw textures instead of the normal ones. On the brights side after all these hours I spent trying to fix this I feel like a real expert on leakages :D Still, thank you all for help!
