Backslashes are now disallowed in keyvalues entered in an object properties box and are replaced with forward slashes at apply time.
Then how the hell am I supposed to use instances if it says it can't find them. Does anyone else get this problem?

How I configure the Hammer? doesn't appear the image of the objects(instances), instead to appear the image, writing appears "ERROR". What can I do?

I can't try it myself (XP), but isn't it as simple as making two brushes with the trigger texture, moving them (seperately) to linked_portal_door entities, giving them names and making them point to eachother?

Um, isn't there a simple property for it that asks if you want it to Start Disabled > Yes/No
There should be. If not check in the flags for "Start On" - make sure that's unchecked.

use SetParentAttachmentMaintainOffset with the param override of the attachment's name, parenting alone isn't sufficient.

I've tried to replicate what valve did to enable moving portals, even copying the specific entities valve used in "sp_a2_bts5" into my map won't make work. So my question is has anyone figured it out how to enable moving portals?

$100 as I said for the OEM and for the upgrade its $114, which is stupid since the OEM works as an upgrade disc.
Really though Valve is going to fix the Xp issue but eventually they will drop support for Xp just as they have for older operating systems, its a little thing called progress. Old tech becomes obsolete
