You have mat_fullbright set to 1, put in a light source, of set it to 0. I recommend the former if you would prefer to see your map.
Also those instanced doors are annoying, with the textures being locked, I'm just going to do doors the traditional way and copy across a frame from the frame vmf and edit the textures.

Why the fuck is the sphere model so hard to hex? First it says the model can't load. Then when I fix that it has a missing texture, even though the model points to the correct textures and the VMT's match up.

i added a light entity but it didn't do anything
host_fullbright 1 isn't a command in the console. If I type in developer 1, I get a message on the right saying "server stuck on object 0/test"

So apparently my friend has my exact same problem, and this has been happening for him since HL2 came out.
How do you make it so models with interiors don't clip with the world? Like, for instance, faith plates have a little area below the plate you can see down into, but you can't carve brushes with models, so you can see the floor right under the faith plate. Same thing with excursion funnels.

Build the brushes around it in a way that it creates a pit for the model. Don't carve them either, just build the brushes around it, you'll probably need 4 sides ( each brush high enough to accommodate the height of the prop ) and the one below the prop to serve as a floor.
Why is it that when I compile my map Hammer says it can't find the compiled map? All I did was add glass lights. To be specific, Portal 2 runs the map fine. Hammer just doesn't read it.

God no. Just make a cylinder and make it hollow. You want to avoid using the carve tool as best you can. On second thought, disregard this and use arches. Apparently hollow is just as bad as carve.
