Use instances.
There's a entity called func_instance, spawn one and choose a VMF in the instance folder found in the Portal 2/SDK Content folder

When I make a world portal with size 128*64, it's much bigger then a brush of the same size.

Multicore rendering was off.
I've got a problem!
I made a point_viewcontrol parented to a func_tracktrain, with some path tracks and stuff following this tutorial: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9-WSDDu14c[/media] (obviously adapting it to portal 2 as I go along)
But the point_viewcontrol just starts outside the map, away from where I put it. I can get a glimpse of some panels at the start but other than that it's wrong.

Red: The point_viewcontrol
Green: The func_tracktrain it's attached to
Dark purple: The path_tracks
Light purple: The logic_relay controlling it
Blue: I forgot why I outlined this trigger as it is irrelevant.
Grey with arrow: Where I think the camera is going in game. Outside of the map.
i fixed it up, optimized and it's a puzzle now too

It looks like you have light entities right outside of the lightcover models though. If so, you should put them inside or just use the texlights.

There's an instance you can use.
Why does this happen? It started after I moved in the GCF's into the alien swarm folder to map through that but it still happens in the official sdk and in all other source sdks. I have verified and re downloaded all of them and no difference. Yellow is where the brush should be.

I can't seem to get levels with elevators to compile, and if I use the instance of the test chamber door frame the chamber door sticks out of the wall on one side or the other
