Am gonna be improving the OP Also, suggestions for a good "flashier" title?
"EverQuest Next: It's like Minecraft, GW2, and EvE had a baby" ?
"EverQuest: Next 'It's almost like someone's innovating!' " or "EverQuest Next: that one MMORPG with the voxel destruction and stuff" or something along those lines
I changed the title but it still shows up as just "Everquest Next"
UGH, looks so boring, the hole "jump over terrain" and "slide down terrain" is just crap automated animations with a +slow or +speed added, no idea why they think that matters at all. The graphics look ok, but you can tell by map design that its going to be the same old corridor type situation with "huge dumbass mountains" blocking everything boxing you in. Also 100% ripping off minecraft with the gather, build, recipe thing... wow, everquest next really is just the next grab @ the cash pinata.

It's easy to forget though, that minecraft didn't have any original ideas, but took several and put them together into an easily accessible game. There is nothing wrong with taking inspiration from wherever you want, what matters is the execution.

Blow a fucking hole in the mountain if it bothers you that much. And ripping off Minecraft? Gee, I guess we better go complain about all those Doom clones out there.
I'm fairly certain this is a joke but on the internet sarcasm has a really hard time being translated through text.
Its for real, the game honestly looks like a joke if you watch the premiere. They talk about public group quests like that is new, yet is has been done as early as 2005.... if not earlier. Makes me sad to see that the EQnext team missed the mark so badly.

Pfahahahaha all you nerds getting worked up about sequences of text and numbers displayed visually on a flat panel!
Uhhh... this video is also lame, I see nothing but blocks, even after he breaks it....
Well of course it's blocks, it's a castle/fort thing. You ever see a round brick? Because I don't think a round brick would be very stable. Also, it's not even blocks. The voxels have variable volume and smoothing so they can form spheres and things.
