And I'm pretty sure there's a max base36 so the file structures wouldn't work at a certain point. If you got around all them problems then it would be possible to stream in chunks forever. That's why he says it has a potential to be 235 petabytes, there's a reason for that size. Sorry for making you look stupid.

I tried to do what you told me but it still gives the same error. I told my friend who tries to connect to my server to do the same but still nothing. He even redownloaded the latest version.

I wish there was some sort of map, maybe you could craft it using animal skin? Now I usually can remember stuff, but when you have been exploring caves for 5 hours and there are 50 different paths it gets really really hard to remember the right one. Also what is a good way to get a friend into Minecraft? Images won't really do it, nor will videos of 50000x50000x50000 pyramids of glass as that shows of none o the mechanics of the game. He's always short on money so telling him "Get it, it's great" won' be enough.

So guys, I'm low on stuff you get from mobs, what's the best and simplest mob trap you can make without a dungeon? I've tried enclosing a small area with cacti and hoped that mobs would spawn in there and kill themselves due to stupidity but they wouldn't spawn in it.

Not to mention that out in the open it's easier to fight them and you can spot and choose the one you want.

I still think that more animals/mobs, taming and riding horses would be an awesome feature, maybe notch will add them in time for adventure mode. Also, better AI too, i hate it when i wack a pig, or any other animal and they just stand there doing nothing about it, not even running away.

Is it possible for a world to spawn as a snow world in single player?
