I have a question: how does one make a dome properly?

Is there a way I can find a pre-modeled player for use in like 3dsmax? I know it's super basic form, Just thought I'd look. Edit: I mean like with textures. I don't know UV mapping.

Was fighting a creeper, suddenly, another walks in front of me and explodes. I shat my pants. Sorta like in this: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14KwzYBjm-8[/media] Also, I just broke into a huge shaft while mining. At the top, there's iron. At the bottom, gold. There's also an entrance to a place with a huge light source. What's the best way to get down a pretty much vertical shaft, keeping in mind I have to get up again?

Is there a reference image out there that I can use to make a sphere or something?

Jesus christ, I have just found the largest cave system ever. It took me 6 minutes to get through a bit of it, and there are creepers up to my ears, with all the other mobs backing them up.

Does cacti require water?

When I got back to the surface after an hour and a half of being in the cave, exploring and such, I got ambushed by 3 creepers. Painful, but I got 2 gunpowder from it.

I just had a thought. Has anyone ever griefed by making a hollow stone creeper statue, wired to pressure plates around the base and filled with tnt? I mean, that'd be awful, but ironic.

I've improved my watertrap a bit and it works so well. I get around 15 gunpowder/feathers/arrows/strings every night by just standing around doing nothing.
