Minecraft Thread V38 - That's a nice shade of grey! - Games

Holy shit guys. I'm sure this is obvious to you all but minecraft is fucking awesome! I always thought it looked like a pretty boring game, but I thought i might as well try it out when it's free. Oh my god this is fun. Are there any heavily facepunch populated servers?

I started sailing off on the wrong side of a big island, and it saved me from getting hoplessly lost.

There, That fixed the error I had, but I had deleted the old stuff in appdata, oh well, fresh start.

Maybe the people who have just recently downloaded the client, haven't gotten the older versions too. I don't really know, but sound isn't really that important. Often I'll mute it to listen to something else.

Minecraft is really slow all of a sudden.

And the redstone compass will always point towards your spawn, you can't do anything about that.

I'm considering buying this. On a scale to 1-10, is it worth it? I tried out the classic version awhile back and never got into it, is the alpha better?

Bought this awhile ago when I saw the MineCraft articles on RPS. Hooked instantly. Only real problem are the griefers but that's any online game to be honest.

Everyone, please refrain from comparing the classic version and Alpha, they are incredibly different. And I recommend that you all buy alpha once Paypal returns
