Just find a large cave system and make sure it goes really far down.

Also, I love digging in a cave for like 40 minutes, being incredibly lost, digging upwards to find a way out only to find out you're only a 30 second walk away from where you started

Whenever I need to get somewhere, Like an exact point, I write down the amount of blocks it is from my starting position and subtract/add accordingly to how I move.

I'll end up with complex and bending tunnels and at most off by two or three blocks from miscounting.

If you're referring to blind mining for resources why would you ever stray from a straight path? You might have off branches for veins but no reason why there wouldn't be a central tunnel that goes in one direction only.

Also all cows naturally have horns. Male and female alike.
Female cows are "heffers" and they still have horns.
Farmers just remove them cus they're dangerous.

Anybody have any tips on constructing a water trap? I can't get the current to maintain in deep water to keep Mobs submerged long enough to drown.

if the water becomes a waterfall it should be fine

Make a 3x# stream then at the end make a really deep whole, or make a 2 block high whole with lava at the bottom.

Diamond is really far down. About 5-15 blocks above bedrock. Even when I dug all the way down it took me a long time to hit only 4 diamond blocks.

Digging a path around lava pools also helps a lot.

Get a door and put it on leaves.
