Is snow regional or is it everywhere? I spawned in a snowy environment and I've been trekking, trying to find a grassy region with no avail. Will the snow ever end? Or am I doomed to wander the wastes for all eternity?

snow is regional, on profans it was snow but we discovered grasslands.

There weren't any enemies, either. I must've spent an hour or so down there and didn't see a single one. I had made my first ever diamond pickaxe and was mining away at some redstone near a lava flow. That's when I saw my first slime! So far, I've hit 1 dead end, out of 3 branches of the cavern which may split up into MORE branches of it. Lava. Lava everywhere.

Got minecraft overviewer installed. Running it right now. "2000/125755 chunks rendered" Once it finishes I still set it up to update every map save.

I'll ask again. The flyer.jar don't work for me, I run it, but all I get is a white screen.

Item blocks only have 5 minutes out of your inventory before they disappear. :/

Plus, I want to get a texture pack, and I have a feeling the game with fuck up massively if I try and mod anything.

Except for animations on water and lava but they're fine default to be honest.

The cave is huge, and it is worth it, I'm getting a LOT of resources, specifically iron and coal, no diamonds yet. Some areas are blocked off by lava, and I wanna keep it that way because I don't have nearly enough torches.
