FOUND DIAMOND! YES! Lots of it too, but man, this cave is huge, some branches lead off to another branch i found, which is nice.

Still have more though, but i think I'm just about done exploring.

I'm literally flooding the cave with torches, it helps calm the nerves. Torches keep the mobs away, right?

When he does, torches that are already placed will change to the permanent alternative, so you don't need to worry.

Someone suggested turning all existing torches into lanterns, which burn forever. That would work.

So I wanted to plant a tree. I got some soil, water, and a tree branch/root thing, and a large hole in the ground. I made a fairly large, two layer section of dirt and a direct source of sunlight. Grass refuses to grow, so I added a loop of water (the circle of half-blocks is covering the water) and two small waterfalls that go to the dirt. Nothing still.

I tilled the soil anyways, planted the branch, and waited. It's been maybe 5 days/nights and nothing is happening.

Also at the above posts, I made mine with the original texture of the creature. I just repositioned some of the parts, set the print size to 3500mm and cut the parts out of thick paper.

I thought it was just 5x5 unobstructed space.

(Trees only take one dirt block to grow on when you plant them in the air.)

The water columns, or the roof may be obstructing it, they do need a lot of height to grow.

Some also take several days, you might just not have waited long enough.

One of mine took almost a minecraft week to grow in a cave.

If its a different size to the original minecraft skin, there no chance.

I do believe Doomish posted a smaller size skin thats animated, might want too look around or ask him for it.
