I can't play the game, I keep getting "failed to launch" errors. I tried the new client as well as deleting my .Minecraft folder, nothing works.
Maybe you're missing folders. My launcher didn't download the sound files so I had to download them from an external location. Now you answer my questions please :)
Also, what do I do now? I have a really nice mansion that I placed torches in and planted trees on the walls. I have a very deep mine I dug, it got me very little besides a few iron and coal and like 20 slots full of cobblestone. I stopped digging because I hit lava and bedrock, should I just go back in there and keep going? Since I removed my torches from last time will there be monsters in there and LASTLY am I denying myself the ability to find a dungeon by putting in torches? The only prebuilt space I found was 2 small lava areas.
Never mind, worked on the third try.
@Poketama keep going.
Something I found out, you can use a furnace and wait until the sun comes up with Minecraft alt-tabbed. You won't autopause and if you're in a safe place you'll be fine.
@Poketama same with inventory and other similar menus

I've died 5 times now in single player, and I can never find my previous forts, despite covering them with torches. :frown:
I've been playing this for about 3 hours now, and man is it addicting. Quick question, how do i craft objects and such, like swords, armor, torches ect.
Is there any way to make it day all the time?
Well you can borrow yourself into the ground, place some glass so you see if it's day or night, and use cheat engine to speed up the game.
I've died 5 times now in single player, and I can never find my previous forts, despite covering them with torches. :frown:
You spawn at your initial spawn point, build a fort at your spawn. Why isn't the lava flowing?
Could someone post a texture pack, that has a good cobblestone texture? The default one is just ugly :saddowns: If it would have more of a stone-block wall, would be awesome.
I've been playing this for about 3 hours now, and man is it addicting. Quick question, how do i craft objects and such, like swords, armor, torches ect.
Holy fuck you played 3 hours without even having a single pickaxe ? Damn this had to be boring.
Why isn't the lava flowing?
Lava, like water, only flows a certain distance.
Lava, like water, only flows a certain distance.
Except water flows infinitely, but I've found a way to make the lava spread farther. I screwed it up by trying to make obsidian though, I suceedeed - but only once and then it would only make cobblestone and destroy my lava.
Oh shit, i'm deep deep in a cave, im starting to hear creepy music :ohdear:
I crashed my game and I now have my lava back, thank you god :D

If you make the source high up, it'll flow until reaching the bottom, at which point it will, again, flow a bit then stop.
Holy fuck you played 3 hours without even having a single pickaxe ? Damn this had to be boring.
I barley know how to play, All i have been doing is fucking around, and the wiki won't load for me. Any help?
Could someone post a texture pack, that has a good cobblestone texture? The default one is just ugly :saddowns: If it would have more of a stone-block wall, would be awesome.
Anyone?
Thread goes to fast, have to start using quotes. @"Water flows infinitely" I meant through the sea sorry. I also just killed a pig with my lava :(
Wahaha, I'm watching skeletons kill each other from the top of my castle. But really, how to turn stairs because minepedia is down for me.
if a skeleton kills a skeleton, you have a chance they drop a green record.
Anyone?
I saw one a few weeks ago, either painterly or something else...
Anyone?
Unfortunately, minecraftforum.net is down, otherwise I would have given you a pretty comprehensive list of 40-some packs to choose from. Right now, the two dominant texture packs are really the Painterly Pack (http://painterlypack.net/) and Doku's RPG Texture pack. (Linked from the minecraft forums which are currently down, sorry.)
But only if the skeleton kills the skeleton. There are 75 records iirc. Use on jukebox. One is an ambient bell sound.
Anyone?
painterly pack, in its customization options you can select brick like cobblestone. also, put this in the op: Skylands: What does it feature? Features include but are not limited to: -Several regions of varying themes all in the sky. Explore everywhere from lava scorched wastes to snow capped mountains. But try not to fall while enjoying the sights! -Dungeons full of twisting perilous mazes and treasure to reward the brave. -Treasure huts throughout the world to serve as a rest stop for weary travelers, and provide words of encouragement (or nonsense...). -A password system for spawn points to help ease repetitive traveling. -And secrets that only the curious shall find... picture: download link and site: http://skylands.goonygoon.com/index.html (it's highly adviced to use the painterly pack in combination with this level.)
Anyone?
Doku's RPG texture pack in the OP
These woods seriously go on forever, I'm hopelessly lost. Time to use Carto.
Anyone?
You could try mine, its not really a texture back it just tweaks some things I thought could be improved: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3715122/MC/terrain.png
