Im having a problem with hosting a server and not being able to collect anything. When a block is broken it instantly regenerates. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. Everyone everywhere has this problem. Walk away from the spawn a little.

Do trees not grow when you're far enough away from them?

[url=http://minecraft.codeplex.com/releases/view/52302]Try using Minecraft Topographical Survey instead and see if that works.[/url] I've never tried it before but it's pretty much the same thing as Cartograph (but an alternative). Instead of having a clickable option menu like Carto, it has a drop down menu where you can select a world or open a Minecraft world file from elsewhere which I assume will work for SMP maps.

How do you stack fences?

Is there a way of taking screenshots without having to resort to something like Fraps? I figured print screen would work like normal but I was apparently wrong.

So, I got the game, and built a tower to the build limit out of obsidian. It looks almost like Isengard, what with the lava flows and the tower. My friends said I spent too much time on it. If anyone's interested, I'll get some pictures.

Could someone upload NBTedit? Minecraft forum seems to be down, and I currently am in a bit of a predicament.
