Holy shit, I just tried this because it's free for the time being, and it's awesome. I've tried the free mode or whatever it's called, and the real deal is so much better. Awesome.

I have a massive drop from my house to get into my mine. :v:
I made a huge bridge on skylands into the nothingness and eventually found new terrain (not floating terrain though), I'm gonna set a warp there since it looks like the earth just finishes there into a big agglomerate of pits.

Goddamn, pig managed to get past the stopping block and jump into my minecart, pushing all 3 down the long track. I run down to the bottom, greeted by 2 creepers that blow a hole in the track. Now all that's at the top is a trusty old 'OUT OF SERVICE' Sign.

I would like to know a couple of things. I have my world in winter mode, so the only real way for me to be able to use boats would be to use an underground lake like the guy above posted, but how would I go about flattening it out so that it was full of water and not all leaning one way?

Fill every square with water until all the water is still.

you can make channels of water and place torches on the edge to prevent it from refreezing.

Yeah, my house has a grass floor. Didn't know they used that to spawn. Still, I need to improve my house, it's a wonky wooden corridor at the mo.
I never really understood why everyone likes this game so much, after having tried the free version (well there isn't really much to do in it). I tried the full version now that it's free, and i must say i'm really liking it. The crafting, working to get resorces and enemies make the game much more interesting.
I've spent a couple hours on a singleplayer game today, found a nice hole to build a shelter in at first, then dug a 3x3 tunnel through the mountain that was there. I'm currently building a small fort on the other side of the tunnel.:buddy:
