Man, why has it taken me so long to try this game? It's incredible. Been playing it for like 10 hours now and I haven't even gotten near to finishing my fort, I love it.

It's dedicated and you can't die because notch hasn't implemented that on multiplayer...

Is it still supposed to be free? I could've swore it was weekend-only, but I can still play the alpha without an account.

I don't really understand what's the point of skyland servers. Where's the fun if there are no working monsters and you don't even take damage? Is it just for the floating mountains?

Today I was exploring during the daytime to see if there was any exposed iron. I had noticed some patterns in where monsters appear during the night - it seems nearly none spawn above ground, and they all appear in a certain spot. Turns out there's a cave where tons of the buggers spawn - during the night, they pour from the entrances all around the hill. I'm currently crafting a full set of iron armour and several iron swords to go trekking in on my first epic adventure.

Hey guys, I just made a personal SMP server for friends. I can join it, and it's on an internet IP, but when they attempt to join, they get a black screen. Any help with this? EDIT: Disregard that, I can only connect to my local server, I've forwarded ports 25565 too. I can't connect to my public IP, only my LAN one.

Crashing: If the server doesn't say you got a connection request, you didn't. That may in fact be an issue with their client.
