screw it :saddowns: i wanted to go into the unexplored mines with soup, iron chest plate and legs and iron sword, but im too fucking scared, turned it back to peaceful after mining 6 iron.

Since the system is partially down I've just decided to try Minecraft out and see if I should buy it. Anyhow, It's really fun, but I'm slightly lacking on some proper things. Is there a quick way to create torches or any mining tools to easen my way early in the game? Also, on which server should I try playing in?

I was missing the sound files due to the latest launcher, and when I added them the game became a lot more creepy, I get paranoid in caves way too easily.
I kinda wish the website was back up so I could buy the game; it's really fun.
Ambient sounds are really creepy, especially when you un-earth a cave system and it plays.

i finally finished crafting my stairs and i proudly walked up them into my mountain house, i had no torches in the house and all of a sudden i hear sssssssssssssss
three creepers had spawned in my house and now my house doesn't exist anymore :smith:

Does anybody here go by the name of DoomSniper? I saw you on a server and we built a house together. We were in no way involved in the fire that engulfed half the map. I was the one who built a (low) roof over our head (HowlingTechie).

2.9 GHz tri-core with 4GB of memory is pretty decent imo
Is there any way to generate additional diamond into my world? No, I don't want to put it straight into my inventory, I like mining. It's just that theres almost no diamon in my world. According to the MineView program.

I haven't played minecraft for a long time. Aside from the "crouch" update, can someone fill me in on what has been added to the game? The last update I remember was the music box/record update.
