Leave the log in window up, it takes awhile, but it gets there eventually. That's what happens for me anyways.
This free weekend thing really worked out for the best. People may have pirated the game somehow from this free weekend, but that there is pure sales. I'm so happy for notch, his little game that started as a little webtoy ended up being this great, amazing, popular game. And I feel so warm about it knowing I was there from the start :D
Me too man, i have been with this game for soo long, it feels good to see it become really huge.
Am I doing something wrong??? I gave up trying to get Print Screen or ShiftPrint Screen to work for taking screenshots and downloaded FRAPS... FRAPS won't take screenshots either? How do you guys take successful screenshots?
He did fuck it up somehow. Player skins don't work most of the time now, and texture packs reset every now and again and the game redownloads the original files for seemingly no reason. I'm assuming it's a serve related problem with not being able to access the database where player skins are kept.
texture packs aren't client side, that's why, and I didn't think about that for why the texture packs are resetting
FFS I went to the minecraft forums to release my texture pack. I typed out a carefully written, organized thread, clicked submit, and bam! The forums are down again. :argh:
texture packs aren't client side, that's why, and I didn't think about that for why the texture packs are resetting
Texture packs are client side, hence editing your minecraft.jar. The only reason you have to reinstall texture packs each update is because the updates overwrite the minecraft.jar file. Player skins are technically not client side and are bound to your account.

I was planning on releasing it through the Minecraft forums, but seeing as they're down I'll release it here for anyone who's interested. A 1x1 stack of sand and dirt with a lava source on top. Not terribly impressive but it was my test screenshot.
So I just bought Minecraft about 10 minutes ago, and have since looked through this page of the thread. I'm seeing some issues. I'm unfamiliar with the Minecraft update process... So how do I/how long will it be until I can log in?

So it might be an hour or so until you can play if that's still the case.
Important question: Some1 got the RIGHT minecraft.jar for the WoM Client (http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Minecraft_Custom_Client_Wrapper_Download) ? Because the link in Notes is offline ( http://minecraft.net/client/minecraft.jar ) -.- Would be nice if some1 can share it. Edit: By the way dont give me this link (http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp). This .jar will not work with the WoM Client

Has anyone else had something like this happen? I was mining sand to make glass blocks around the edge of this bay and I mined one block and collapsed this huge area. There's a very large cave system under it that I haven't even begun to properly explore.
Night time is the worst right now, because I have no armor and only a stone sword because I'm more focused on fortifying my abode.

I was exploring one that extended into my home cave, and when I placed down a torch the entire sand roof collapsed in on itself, virtually burying me in sand, and it was night so I was under attack from opportunistic zombies and spiders.

Sand and flailing arms everywhere.

It was mid-day when I collapsed it and I didn't manage to get buried, I just had to dig my way out.
It's back up again, seemed to crash.
Dammit... I was exploring the collapsed cavern near the bay and got horribly horribly lost. I was exploring and fell down two rather large ledges in a row then kept going down until I found a ton of lava and water. I was mining some redstone and apparently wasn't paying enough attention and didn't let go of my mouse button in time, As I dropped down to collect the redstone I had just mined, I accidentally mined the normal stone underneath it. The only thing underneath that: lava. I just lost 1 unused diamond pickaxe, a diamond pickaxe that was in the red, Somewhere near 100 iron, 20-30 redstone, and some other random supplies I took with me. And of course I used all but two remaining diamonds I had to make that unused diamond pickaxe. Well, crap. Even if I hadn't died from lava I'd have no chance of getting that back. Guess I should be a little more careful next time.

Outdated launcher and site is down. Anywhere else you can get the newest version?
I've had a cave system collapse on top of me while inside of it.
It's the sand engine thingy, it will stay together fine till you mine a block of it and if it's connected to any sand block that doesn't have anything underneath it, they will all fall down.
So I was making a bridge from one mountain to another, and I decided to plant some crops on either side, get some extra wheat, etc. etc. so I did. I think I might hate literally shit myself just now. This is one of the scariest games I've ever played. I found this beautiful mine, waterfalls and iron and coal every where. I was going apeshit on it, mining everything in sight, only stopping to admire the 'falls. A zombie had different plans. I have to play with no sound at the moment, and so I didn't hear any warning moans. I'm mining some iron and then my screen starts shaking violently. Needless to say I'm glad I brought a sword.
EDIT: Nevermind, just had to re-log.
Ok... so i registered and account, bought the game while logged in, and now I can't downoad it. Help?
Sites being a bit glitchy, I just got it now though.
Legitimate question: Will my crop continue to grow if I close the game?
