Why cant I connect to any SMP server?

Wow, I didn't realize there would be such a huge difference between getting lava sources above ground and underground. I got two above ground and I've gotten around 20 underground so far.

Is there any way I can grow trees?

I hope Notch starts updating normally again. So far he only updates on friday. I missed when friday was a special, small treat update, not the main update of the week.

Hmm, just bought the game, installed the 'Better Grass' add-on that someone suggested and added Doku's RPG Texture pack, and now I get no sound. It now looks beautiful, but I can't hear jack.

The sound update system is broken for the moment.

New client, no sound.

Use the old client and play offline until the sound gets fixed. Oh, nevermind. Sound has disappeared on the old client too.
