Alright that does it for today. Seriously I met 10 zombies, 6 creepers, 4 skeletons and 3 spiders in more or less a 50x50x50 area.

What the hell should I do with all my redstone? Found a lot of chunks which gave me 61 redstone in total, sure I've made a compass, but is redstone torches all there's left to use them for now? If so how are they any better than regular torches?

With those sea monsters I'm gonna be stuck in peaceful. FOREVER ALONE

So I'm playing single player Survival Mode right now. I'm stuck with a bunch of dirt, some strange common rock, wood and wool blocks. How do I get/make pickaxes, axes, swords and things of that nature?
