I found an awesome floating island a bit away from my spawn.
I fell off and died, now I cant find it...
I've been exploring that massive cave and it runs under the entire peninsula my house is on. The only safe way of escape is to get back to the entrance though, because if you dig up from almost anywhere else you encounter a deep frozen over lake. I think I accidentally flooded a section of the mine...

Well I did that, but it didn't work the first time. But, I did make a world that has mushrooms, coal, and iron right at spawn.
Just had a rather creepy experience. I had Minecraft open but I wasn't moving because I was eating an ice cream.
I was in a deep tunnel and it was quiet until I heard footsteps coming from somewhere nearby. Normally this would be fine but I didn't hear any accompanying monster noises, and it cant have been a friendly mob because I was deep underground and there was no grass nearby.
I left pretty quickly.
