i was going to try this, luckily I didnt buy it.
I thought Tabula Rasa came pretty close
At least Tabula Rasa had an awesome going away event.
wow, i cant understand how people spent their money on this game and now it is shutting down..
If I get a new rig before the end of the year, I might try the Action District thing, because the game looks pretty cool.
Sad to see this,it had so much potential. I'm liking the rumors that Epic or another company might pick up the slack however.
I didn't buy it because not only did I hear bad things about it but the monthly price was just dumb. Wish they did something like LoL/etc were online is free but there are things to buy. Probably would have gotten more sales. But then again, 100mil, jesus. This game does not look like it took 5 years to make. Maybe it was like 6 months for the gameplay/graphics/etc and 4.5 years on the customizable parts.
If you bought APB from Steam, apparently EA are now offering a free game as a refund. Valve put up a brick wall, but EA are making up for the fact that customer who bought their game ended up with nothing to show for it. If you contact them through this site, and tell them you’d like another game to replace APB, they will give you any game currently available on the EA Store. I don’t think that they will let you get preorders, but it’s worth a shot. You can pick from the likes of Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Spore, The Saboteur, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and all sorts of other stuff.
Concept sure did, but they kind of failed it. I really wanted some sort of persistent/mmorpg GTA 4 kind of game, but instead we got a slightly superior CrimeCraft. I got Bad company 2 limited edition for free just now.

I feel like I should feel bad for this game, but I really don't. The beta consisted of 2-4 groups of people who weren't allowed to talk about the game (NDA). I can only imagine they thought it was crap. Then, free beta codes were given out, tons of people flooded the servers, and everyone realized the game was crap. They really should have done more beta testing, especially since they just ignored the flood of beta testers near release.
How does one contact EA regarding the refund if you must enter a game which the question is related to, and APB isn't on the list? Edit: They are sending me around in circles! I need some kind of phone number so I can call and complain.
I feel like if this game was released to private servers it would become a knock out hit when people actually fix the game and it flies off store shelves
