Only one event is related to the book but they are very, very spoiler related so I probably shouldn't reveal them to you but here they are if you want them.
[sp]Noble Six is given Cortana which he has to bring to Keyes. I'm pretty sure it was referenced in the book[/sp]

Not in detail, though Jorge (large turret man) is a Spartan II, and he does mention the upgrades Spartan III's get a few times. You'll like it. Even though it doesn't follow book canon (supposedly), they still follow the same set story. You'd love the ending.

I didn't read the spoiler, but thanks for letting me know guys. Maybe I will get it then. Its just for me, plot in a game is just as important as actual game play. The Halo canon is really what interested me as I played through the series, and I just want to make sure they continue that, to an extent in the latest game.

Yeah, Reach is a big deal plot-wise.
Goddamn, BTB is starting to infuriate me.
Every single time, it's Snipers on Hemorrhage. I love Hemorrhage, but if you want to kill someone in 1-2 shots, call Call of Duty or something.
It's annoying, there's no way out; in every conflict in Halo there's at least a chance you can get out of the situation. In Snipers, it's do or die. No in-between. If you are seen, you will be murdered. Quickly, and usually with no chance of retaliation.
Personally, I think they need a "Snipers 'n' Swat" gamelist. But that's just me.
Also making little progress through Warrant Officer Grade 3.
