Yeah I just completed the Weekly Challenge in around 20 minutes.(Winter Contingency, so easy.)
Okay, in my original post I mentioned that I found a glitch. What I meant to say was
that I found a way to automatically do the Swordbase credit farming method.
What you do is, when you get the designator fire it as soon as possible. Then move
back to the doors to get the checkpoint before the airstrike hits, remember to aim
in one of the gaps of the roadblocks so that you respawn aiming in that direction.
Now the only thing you need is some tape, tape the analog stick forwards so that
your character runs through the gaps and gets killed by the remaining enemies as
soon as possible to reduce the time between the airstrikes. You will now respawn and
the airstrikes will continuously hit the enemy as long as you want to get credits.
This was rushed, hope it works out for you.
Why aren't the Weekly challenges "Weekly" challenges? They should have daily challenges, 3 day challenges, and the weekly challenges.
Aren't they?

Interesting, but I already got so many kills that my game refuses to give me any credits. :frown:
You could do the magic credit grinding thing during school too.
I only play normally an hour a day. :Dawkins102:
So I hopped on Matchmaking, and guess what? Snipers. Saw that coming.
Anyways, the enemy team are the classic douchebags, but my team was actually pretty friendly. We all had that "local talk" thing on, the option that lets you hear enemies. The other team was so forgetful. They would never turn around, so we would get behind them, shout "PSSST" into our mics, and proceed to assassinate them as soon as they begin to glance behind themselves.
Good fun. I still didn't get any credits though, that bug is starting to get on my nerves.
EDIT:
Here's one of my several assassinations. (I'm the blue guy.)
Anyone have a simple way of getting the "Return of the Mack" daily challenge? I just did Winter Contingency with an idle guest, but even then I only killed 11. This was on Legendary, as well, so I got the weekly challenge.
Got it pretty simply - I just played through ONI Sword Base on Normal, reverting here and there when I noticed a large concentration of Elites. Didn't take too long, and I also got some good progress on my commendations.
EDIT: Oh, cool, I also killed a bob.
No credits bug? Sounds new to me.
anyone fancy a game or at least some pissing about in forge or some other gamemode? i've not really had much chance to mess around with that stuff
Aren't they?
I know they are weekly challenges, it is just the fact they are simple. Like 20 double kills or something like that would be more weekly challenge material.
Hmm, I tried, as is my habit, to recreate Dreadnaught once again, but it seems the Juggernaut gamemode is bugged so you can't actually change a lot of settings and have them apply. Plus it's a mixed race mode now it seems, which is really suboptimal in every way.
Huh, I just learned that there's a Fall of Reach comic adaptation and the first issue is already out.
Anyone else excited for the GoO "sequel" or the Forerunner trilogy?
Honestly I've been somewhat dissapointed in Halo Reach, I'm not sure how much exactly yet.
But I may consider just disowning everything that happened after the end of Halo 2 if this is the note on which Bungie is leaving us. I have no faith in 343 whatsoever after Halo Wars and Legends.
Holy shit. Again, I'm probably late, but there may actually be a reward for killing all of the Bobs, as hinted by Bungie.

That can't possibly mean nothing.
just an fyi after playing in a game longer then an hour and a half your credits signifiganty decrease.
There seem to have snuck a lot of Episode I references into Halo Reach.

Such as?
Getting this tomorrow or Wednesday, pumped as FUCK. There's just a few things I'd like to know first, though.
1. How many gigabytes does the average Forge World variant map take up?
2. I understand that those XBOX 360's that lack hard drives cannot play co-op campaign online. This is of no great consequence to me, but my question is this: Does anyone know if this applies to Firefight as well?
3. Is a Recon code included in every new copy of the game?

1. About 20-40 Kilobytes. No where near a gigabyte.
2. Unknown
3. Unknown, but I would imagine no.
Recon was only for launch day copies and pre-orders. By now I highly doubt you will get a Recon code.

I just can't get this to work for me, I can't time my run from the checkpoint to the strike site properly.
It's pretty useless for most of us now.
I get 6 cR a strike. :frog:

2. Same networking, so no firefight online without a hard drive as well. :frown: If you have a slim though, you can cheap out and get an older Xbox 360 20gb drive, since those are pretty much obsolete. You can plug the old drive directly into the slim (same sata ports) and it'll work perfectly. There are guides on Youtube on how to do this.

Quoting myself.
I managed to reduce the time to 8-10 seconds.
6 cr/10 seconds
6 cr * 6 = 36 cr/minute
36 cr * 60 = 2160 cr/hour
2160 cr * 9 = 19440 cr/night
You guys can't say that's not good for doing nothing.
I am pretty sure that some of the challenges have quotes like "Great shot kid, don't get cocky"
Quoting myself.
ahh, 150cr/strike. how we miss you so.

Thank you!

Stream of me playing.
I know this is really stupid, but I have more respect for people who don't grind using the Target Locater or Gruntpocalypse than those who do. It seems a cheap way to get ahead of everyone else, and the few people I see that are high ranks without grinding always get accused of doing so.
It's so much more satisfying ranking up without grinding.
Also much slower.

I feel much more proud and achieved since I stopped when I hit Major. Since Major I have been going up legitimately and I'm very close to Lt.Colonel.
I feel excited.

And some of the glitches that are getting abused just seem like common sense to fix. Like the Sword Base thing, all you have to do is move the checkpoint a little bit and it's fixed. Or the way to repeat challenges or "beat" the credit limit. Although I think "beating" the credit limit has completely broken my game. Oh well, I guess I deserved it.
