It works. I was in game for about 4:30 - the first minute was spent waiting for the Falcon to arrive. I got in the right turret seat and for about 3 minutes did 3 runs. Exited, 500 Credits.

But the reason I actually got banned permanently was for "advocating for spam and trolls" by quoting someone who explained how to make troll alts under a proxy. Over 8k here in 20 minutes, fuck yeah. That's counting the commendations, though. Even with no commendations, it seems to be the fastest way to amass credits so far. Now that I know pretty much exactly where to shoot and when, I get about 230 credits in 53 seconds. +-30, that's atleast 2250cR in 10 minutes.
39k cR to go.

For those of you who can't do math, a skilled player can get 2000 points in 10 minutes without commendations, which are obviously going to be plentiful. This is what Halo 3's forge was made for, not for creating amazing levels.
I haven't logged into my bungie.net profile or played online outside of a lan party yet, but apparently the numbers show 90% of my kills are melee
