Can I have info on the hunters Like people are saying they are shiton hard to kill
They kill you in one hit (Melee and fuel rod) on Normal and it is difficult to get behind one while the other is shooting you. They also position their shields differently than in the previous games, making it harder to hit them on the neck.
Just convinced an entire game of people I work for Bungie. A lot of people are going to bed happy tonight.

Also hunters weren't dumb they achieved space travel by themselfs of course they are gonna try to block or prevent you to attack their weak spot Also you aren't a spartan 2 you are a Spartan 3 the difference is the armor and shielding [editline]12:05AM[/editline] Then i added Agoat on Steam
Just convinced an entire game of people I work for Bungie. A lot of people are going to bed happy tonight.
That was pretty funny. You started gathering a little following who were staying in the lobby afterwards. Anyway I gotta go to bed now, got work tomorrow. We should play through the campaign sometime
I wonder how a Game with Hezzy and Agoat would be like
anybody else name their holograms? winston the XVI was the most successful, allowed me to get a triple kill

If the Hunters are engaging other people, break line of sight with them for about 5 seconds and they'll swing around to attack someone else. Run up behind them, melee and shoot. Rinse and repeat.
Holy shit a Goldie from 09 my head is broken [editline]12:10AM[/editline] I don't have Reach sadly so I can't do that
Well now I know how to kill the hunters.
i won a game of team headhunter for my team at the last second by killing a guy who was carrying 8 skulls 2 feet from the dropoff
This game is amazing, and I've only played up to the sixth mission in the Campaign on Heroic. Shit's hard, though.
That was pretty funny. You started gathering a little following who were staying in the lobby afterwards. Anyway I gotta go to bed now, got work tomorrow. I think I'm one mission away from finishing campaign on Normal. Would be wanting to do it on the hardest difficulty
I think I'm one mission away from finishing campaign on Normal. Would be wanting to do it on the hardest difficulty
I'd definitely be down for a Legendary run, though I've heard it's a pain in the ass.
Ordered a shirt
Ordered a shirt
That looks sexy. I'd buy it if I knew I wouldn't be ridiculed.
Ordered a shirt sexy tshirt
Where from?
I'd definitely be down for a Legendary run, though I've heard it's a pain in the ass.
sign me up for legendary some time

Obligatory actio-DOUBLE KILL
I was never a huge Halo fan, but I bought Halo: Reach and am loving it. I suck dick at it though.
Multi Team is a lot more fun than I thought it'd be.
Big Team Battle for the win. Though I have no idea why people have been voting for Headhunter games lately. Game mode is terrible.
I'm definitely in if you guys are going to do custom games this weekend.
I'm up for customs although I'm from the uk. Will have to add that facepunch reach gamertag sometime.
I hate head hunter with a passion, BTB Classic please.
I don't like how some of the characters died. It seems like they were unnecessarily killed off. Also, [sp]What happened to Jun?[/sp]
[sp]He made it out with Halsey, dunno what happened since. Glad he survived, he was my favorite from Noble Team.[/sp] [editline]11:49AM[/editline]
So, what's FacepunchReach? Is it like an account, and you friend it saying that you're a Facepuncher and other Facepuncher's look at FacepunchReach's friends, and you find people that way? Because that's a pretty sweet idea.
:c00l: [editline]11:51AM[/editline]
I have a question: At the end of the game [sp]you see the same image of Noble Six's helmet in the ground as you do in the beginning, only there's lush green grass and a snow capped mountain in the distance. Does that imply the glassing of Reach doesn't destroy the ecosystem? If that's the case, does that mean Humanity can re-populate it's previously glassed worlds?[/sp]
[sp]It might have only been the area close the Menachite Mountain. Underneath were Forerunner ruins, and it was made quite clear the glassing ships avoided the area in Fall of Reach. That or they didn't feel like glassing the whole planet (might have been more ruins). Could have only been the poles, that's really the only confirmed glassed area.[/sp] [editline]11:52AM[/editline]
[sp]We're not sure the Chief lands on Reach after Halo 3. That planet clearly does not look like a glassed wasteland or a beautiful, lush paradise. However, in Reach it's implied that the Covenant aren't totally glassing the planet, merely glassing major population centers. Of course, this would create a nuclear winter, but with human terraforming it's entirely possible the ecosystem would return to normal at an accelerated rate.[/sp]
[sp]I think 30 years would be enough for the ashes to mostly settle anyway.[/sp] [editline]11:53AM[/editline]
FYI the game breaks The Fall of Reach cannon
Bungie's words, game canon > book canon [editline]11:57AM[/editline]
There's still a metric fuck ton of stuff to do besides story mode.
Actually the campaign has shitloads of alternate paths and explorable places. Repeating what I said in the last thread, [sp]on Long Night of Solace, at the launch facility, if you go back outside instead of heading in, you'll see the Covenant actually keep sending more troops to attack the Army, instead of just quitting after some Spartans pass.[/sp] [editline]11:59AM[/editline]
I think Reach is the first game to ever have realistic gun animations. You have a different animation depending on whether or not the chamber is empty. Sure, a lot of games do that. But what I noticed, was that when you first pull out any weapon, you have to cock it first. But you only do so the first time you get it out. Shit, Halo isn't that realistic, but it's the first game I've seen that does that.
I love that attention to detail, and the rumble feedback when reloading etc. Feels awesome. Shame it doesn't seem to work so well in multiplayer. [editline]12:01PM[/editline]
I hate Hunters in every game, especially Halo 1 and Reach THEY CAN KILL IN ONE HIT
They used to be able to oneshot you only on Legendary, but now they can do it with a direct hit on Heroic too. Sure, it's right according to canon, but eh. Halo 1 hunters are easy as shit, how can you hate them? They aren't even challenging. Sidestep, shoot them once with the pistol, they die instantly. [editline]12:01PM[/editline]
I found that out the hard way. And their fuel rod cannons are no longer beams...doesn't effect much, but its strange nonetheless.
Yeah they're back to their Halo CE days, thankfully. I thought the beams were stupid. [editline]12:03PM[/editline]
Can I have info on the hunters Like people are saying they are shiton hard to kill
One punches you? You're dead unless it misses by an inch, then you're left with no shields and a sliver of health. They have a LOT of health, and they're hard to get behind. Oh and four plasma grenades don't always kill them anymore, even rockets can take two or three hits. [editline]12:04PM[/editline] jesus, massive post
One punches you? You're dead unless it misses by an inch, then you're left with no shields and a sliver of health. They have a LOT of health, and they're hard to get behind. Oh and four plasma grenades don't always kill them anymore, even rockets can take two or three hits.
It took TWELVE DIRECT HITS from the revenant's cannon to kill a hunter on Legendary. Shit's ridiculous. I'm dreading [sp]the room with 4 hunters.[/sp] :ohdear:
On the last level I had two hunters, several skirmishers, and only a plasma repeater with less than 20 energy and a couple plasma pistols. That was intense.
I really like the multiplayer but there are a few issues I'm having. The one that confuses me the most is that it tells me (in the game options) I can make shields and health decay over time. There is no decay option like in halo 3. Also there are loadout tiers in infection, but the tiers never advance. Considering there are no loadouts for infected people, I'm hoping that this was just a mistake.
