I'll play with somebody tommorow (on reach) at about 3PM or so Pacific Standard, just add me and send me a message that you're from facepunch.
Stuck on the last mission on legendary. Anyone want to play? :D
I'll play Sonic I'll add you, MM right? also just read this..it's funny
How can we make as much money as possible? We need to attract new players, obviously people who bought the previous Halos will buy Reach. How can we attract as many new players as possible? Lets aim for young kids and casual players who were unable to succeed in H1, H2, (and if really terrible) H3. We will add Jet packs and holograms! We shall build a map that is 90% mountain and 10% open space! Therefore if players get bored with the game, they can leisurely climb the montain. If these ideas don't attract new players then I don't know what will. Wait! But what if this doesn't appeal to the competitve players? We don't want to lose them. Simple! We will give them a new weapon for competitive play, the DMR. They didn't like our BR in Halo 3 anyways. Instead of attempting to fix that, we can just make a new weapon. Lets make the DMR skill based, so we can increase the skill gap that the competitive players constantly complain about. WAIT!!! The skill gap is too large! Unskilled players will get dominated and want to quit. They will be unable to succeed and have a good time. OMG! You're right...how can we fix this? Hmmm. Lets decrease the skill required to kill with the DMR. We shall add BLOOM! Now superior aim can be replaced with timing. Even bad players can learn to time their shots, right? Maybe...but if they can't lets make it so they can still get lucky 30% of the time. Lets make the bloom worse, so spamming will occasionally win DMR battles. Ya! Great idea. Hold on...this randomness will anger the competitive players. We should make a way for them to adjust it, right? Perhaps add a setting for custom games? Oh who cares! They only make up a small percentage of the halo population. Anyways this game is taking too long to make. We need to be more like Call of Duty and put games out faster. Yeah...your right. Call of Duty is a great game isnt it? Before we publish Reach, why don't we make it a bit more like CoD? Can't go wrong with that. We can take away rank, add points needed to unlock weapons. Make the spartans more customizable. Lets make em' jump like Call of Duty! Lets make em' spring like Call of Duty! Lets even give em' a knife like Call of Duty!!! Now that we have the perfect mix between Halo and CoD, the game is ready to be released. I just know everyone will love it!
Just beat the game [sp] my epic ending got cut short buy a random suicide grunt I found around the corner. [/sp]
I didn't like Kat, she kind of a bitch IMO. her accent bugged the shit out of me.
I didn't like Kat, she kind of a bitch IMO. her accent bugged the shit out of me.
kat's accent sounded sexy to me
Nothing goes better with Halo Reach than a large bag of 16 inch Twizzlers.
I never liked Twizzlers.
Decided to try again but playing lax & got it in 15 mins tops. Watching credits right now, I hope there is another scene.
Everyone? I didn't like Halo 2 either.
I can't stand Halo 2. I played it again recently, and I re-discovered why I was so disappointed with it when I bought it when it came out. Here are some legitimate reasons that Halo 2 sucked dong: Convoluted story/writing. If through the first play through, I'm confused as to what the fuck is going on, there's a problem. I've got a grad. degree in literature and have read some tough works, but Halo 2 was confusing. At first I couldn't figure out if the Arbiter was something honorable or if it was a punishment. And if the Arbiter was dishonored, he can only get his honor back by being all secret and going on a suicide mission? Gravemind? The flood are philosophical? WTF? Also, I couldn't figure out who the profits were, which ones were bad/good, and what this whole great journey/artifact thing was until very late in the game. It's not good to keep your audience confused for most of a 10 hour game. Also, playing the Arbiter. Sorry. Give me fucking Chief. Yeah, I liked the Arbiter, but you know, after playing Halo CE a TON, I had come to love Elites as enemies. It took a while to like the Arbiter. But really, do I have to play him? OOOOooooo, I can turn all invisible! Chief could do that too! For me, playing the Arbiter was lame. And it was confusing. Another problem combined the problems of story/graphics/design to make one colossal problem. It's that part where you play the Arbiter and you go fight the heretics (or were the heretics on the Arbiter's side? I'm still confused). So, it's basically a bunch of elites and grunts vs. a bunch of similar (but subtly different) elites and grunts. The first time playing through those levels, I wasted nearly all of my own guys because I couldn't tell them apart (and CE fucking trained me to kill covenant). By the end of those levels, I was just like "Fuck it, I'll kill everything I fucking see, my side, their side, whatever." Finally, the graphics were just horrid. I'm not usually one who loves graphics. I love my 8-bit games; I love Minecraft, I even love those PS1 and PS2 games. The graphics hold some nostagia. But how is it that Halo 2 had worse graphics than Halo 1? Halo was jaw dropping for its time, then Halo 2 game out. There were bland textures, pop-ins, and the human models were just . . . just . . . worse than the flood! Yeah, so Halo 2 fans, sorry, but you liked it because A. it was your first Halo game, B. you were too young to really notice a good game from a bad one, C. you liked multiplayer and that's about it. Sure, multiplayer is a good part, but it's only half the game. And half a good game is still a failing game, in my book.
What the fuck man I got to do the last [sp]Survive[/sp] mission & I get nothing, check the mission select screen & apparently I didn't finish the last level
Anybody up for testing my map in a minute?
Well I grind for credits. Mainly cause I feel like it and I want to know when the hell I can get my pilot helmet.
Same here. Well now I'm grinding merely so I could get Captain a bit faster.
the point isn't that they're grinding- that'd be fine, given they're doing some work for it. However, they're farming cheap and easy points to reap rewards meant for people who've done a LOT of real gameplay.
Gruntpocalypse isn't a walk in the park. You don't go to the middle of the map and start spinning and shooting. You have to aim, you have to watch your back, you have to do something. That, is grinding. Not boosting/farming/whatever the term is for "negative way" of seeing grinding. The campaign one posted here not long ago is a bit more like farming, but it still requires you to do something. That could be fixed easily, like not giving you cR when you "revert to last save" every 20 seconds. Ban is way too fucking harsh. And for me, it doesn't really give much cR anyway, even with all the Killionaires. I still think it's fucking ridiculous they ban people for grinding credits. If it's some flawed auto-banhammer then okay, but if they are actually banning people for PLAYING THE GAME AND GAINING REWARDS THAT DON'T DO SHIT, then I don't know what the fuck. If some armor pieces gave you additional armors, better weapons, fuck if I know, then I could understand banning but what the fuck. We are amassing cR. Which does ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING GAMEPLAY-WISE. I'm not magically a better player when my rank is higher than other's. I don't turn into a badass motherfucker when I have a helmet most people don't have. The ONLY thing I gain from this is cR SLIGHTLY faster than normal. The ONLY reason people even COULD be angry about this is, what, getting oh-thundery helmets earlier and "by the time I get it, it's too common baww". Well the thing is, you don't even get that much. After using these methods for a while, they get slower and slower, till the point when there's.. Uh, no point in doing it anymore. And even then you are far from getting the expensive stuff. In short, WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY BANNING PEOPLE? What a long post. I'm tired. Gotta go to school soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole post made no sense at all.
I beat the game about an hour ago. It was very short but the campaign wasn't bad. [sp]And is Jun the only one that lived? The last I saw him was when he was left to escort whatsherface and the rest of Noble team flew off, so it sounds logical.[/sp]
I believe it's called simming. Farm credits in a legit way, IE finishing the match.
Alright, thanks for the correction. Did that campaign one for a few minutes. Didn't get that much cR. Guess I'll stop it altogether, I still enjoy the multiplayer immensely. So I got.. Hmm, I guess 10k cR by farming campaign, overall it took probably a few hours, since the amount I got dropped a lot very fast and commendations are ridiculous now. Oh, what a great 10k that is, a huge amount and so on and so on.
Gruntpocalypse really earned me some Cannon Fodder and Dome Inspector ranks
I didn't like Kat, she kind of a bitch IMO. her accent bugged the shit out of me.
This, definitely this. When you hear her over the radio, I couldn't understand a word she was saying.
Achievements unlocked. 6 for 370g.
Now I'm kinda pissed off. [sp]Since on Lone Wolf you're surrounded by dead Spartans, and the air is fucked up, it led me to believe that this is after the main battle for Reach (the campaign in the game happens before the real fight) after a part of the planet had been glassed (air is all dust and some) and you had been defending some generators or ONI facility with the S3's that were left on the planet. But all of that was cut out.[/sp]
My real dissapointment is the maps in the game, their are barely any fun maps with vehicles and most of the maps are very sameish. Halo 3 maps had a good variation and some really fun ones
I feel like there is way too much open space in a lot of the maps, ESPECIALLY on the Forge World remakes. I'm also disappointed that every new map is taken from the campaign. I get that they want it to feel familiar, but I want new creative maps, not some yanked map.
Going through the campaign on Legendary alone. Elites are a BITCH
DVC100 capture card
I see your DVC100 and raise you a Blackmagic Intensity Pro It's worth nothing that I didn't render that video at 720p but I could have, I didn't because I couldn't be arsed waiting on the render of a few clips. [editline]01:09PM[/editline] Wait so they ban you now for playing too much Gruntocalypse?
So who is your favorite Noble Team member? Mine is a tie between Carter and Jorge.
Not only is he my favourite member of Noble Team, but he may possibly be my favourite Spartan (although he'd be fighting for the top spot with the Chief, obviously): Jorge-052 [editline]12:32AM[/editline]
I can't stand Halo 2. Did you mute the TV during all of the cut scenes or something? And, surely someone with a degree in literature would be appreciative of parallel narratives and actually exploring the complexities of good vs bad, right vs wrong, and an entire alien hierarchy. I loved Halo 2. It explored the covenant, showed us what drove them, showed us what led to their eventual civil war and schism. It showed us that the enemy wasn't 'just evil', they were misguided. It showed us both sides of story, not just one, biased view-point. For someone who supposedly has a degree in literature, I'd think YOU would be the kind of person to appreciate these kinds of story-telling devices.
I don't get why people have their panties in a bunch about getting "banned for playing score attack". Until Bungie put up an announcement explicitly stating this fact I refuse to believe this utter horse-shit.
I liked halo 2 in its own right. I was excited for the complex narrative. I almost feel like I missed it in halo 3.

Oh god, what ignorance. Oh yeah, I've been reading Bungie forums for a few minutes now. More specifically, the Halo Reach forums. The pure stupidity of some of the members just makes me want to cut myself.
Damn, really need to get live gold, anyone have a 48 hour pass? I can give stuff back.
Damn, really need to get live gold, anyone have a 48 hour pass? I can give stuff back.
I have a 48 hour pass if you're desparate.
