So, it seems that Dropships are now, once again, indestructible to infantry.
So, it seems that Dropships are now, once again, indestructible to infantry.
Indeed. And I was so looking forward to seeing a Spirit blow up.
Doing solo campaign on Normal. It's actually pretty goddamn fun, I feel like a badass Spartan now since I can pretty much just mow down everything.
Internet is back! :buddy: (Dai)
What is a good campaign mission with lots of grunts? The daily challenges today have some juicy XP.
Wow check this easter egg.. what a weird and cool thing This makes me want to go into Campaign and fuck around trying to find cool stuff, I didn't really explore much in my first run through.
How did anyone find this
I think I know what forge needs. Sandtrap low health infected warthog/mongoose convoy. Placed onto forge world
So fucking sick of people quitting at the first sign of losing, hell.. people who can't even take dying a few times. I was playing Invasion on Spire and we spawn, 30 seconds in a few people on my team have died at least once so 2 leave then about a minute later the others die a few times and quit leaving me and my brother in the lobby against 6 decent players, even at that I sucked it up and took the loss, we even came close to winning had it not been for them rushing us with jetpacks and armor lock distractions. I hope these people end up with fucking 3 day bans from this game, they don't deserve to play if they're just going to flake out the moment they don't or can't get a kill. Idiots.

It was me and my brother against about 8 people in big team slayer on homerrhage, everyone else on our team had left. We still won with like 50-30.
Oh shit, I still need to use spoiler tags? I just assumed that most people wouldn't wander into this thread a week after the game's been out, if they are worried about being spoiled. I'd edit it but someone already quoted it. [sp]I've actually read through the new FoR novel and nothing was changed, aside from some extras at the end of the book that don't really add much to the actual story (from what I gathered). If your interested in the bonus material, it's like the last 20 pages of the book - otherwise, the novel is exactly the same. But it seems like many people are complaining that the game ruined the story from the novels - so apparently, there are some inconsistencies between the novels and the Reach game. I'm not really surprised, but I'm fairly certain the timeline of the PoA is a little wonky. Judging from the devastation the covenant did to the planet during the Reach game, it seems weird that the game took place before the novels? The FoR book made it pretty clear that Reach was first attacked when the covenant slipped into the system, where the huge space battle followed. Once the battle was over, it was reported that dropships were invading the planet. I thought that this was where the Reach game picks up? If the game did take place before this huge space battle in the novel, wouldn't someone notice the super carrier in space, along with reports of the events happening on the ground? You could see the devastation of the planet from space when you fly around in the one mission. Not to mention the game took place over a few days - a pretty big amount of time for a "cloaked invasion" to occur. Just seems inconsistent that's all, which is okay - the novel was written almost 9 years ago. Maybe the halopedia has the answers I'm looking for.[/sp]
Here is what I gathered on the entire thing: 1. [sp]Everything from Winter Contingency to Exodus was pre-invasion, and pre-Exodus/post-Long Night of Solace was when the Covenant armada arrived.[/sp] 2. [sp]Exodus to The Package was the space battle between the Covenant armada and UNSC forces.[/sp] 3. [sp]The end of the package until the end of Pillar of Autumn is when the UNSC forces lose in space, and the Covenant are pretty much mopping up before glassing, which occurs sometime after Lone Wolf. This is backed up by Halo 2, where the Arbiter says the Pillar of Autumn escaped the planet just as he was getting ready to "set fire to the world."[/sp]
What is a good campaign mission with lots of grunts? The daily challenges today have some juicy XP.
I got the challenge after playing through a couple campaign missions on heroic.
I got the challenge after playing through a couple campaign missions on heroic.
I guess I'll do that then. Working on the Elite one right now.
Yeah, on Normal I got the challenge during the first three missions. None of them took too long, about 20 minutes. I'll do one more mission and then go to bed.. Shit is addictive.
Just got the two achievements, Your Heresy Will Stay Your Feet and If They Came to Hear Me Beg. The first one I got inadvertently when I was playing Tip of the Spear with some friends and one smacked it in the back of the head :smug:. Second one's pretty damn hard to get though, took me about 40 tries to get it, and only 2 of those were proper assassinations. (Seems like you can't get it in co-op, didn't get it that go)
so im playing invasion on spire the only person on my team with a mic was some obnoxious kid for those of you who don't know my mic makes an obnoxious farting noise whenever i shoot or use a jetpack so he spent the whole game bitching at me (my mic is muted just to let him talk to himself) thinking im farting into the mic it was pretty hilarious "hey kid shut up ahaha kid you died you suck ahahahah" [editline]03:07PM[/editline] also a falcon was trying to land on the spire so i hit it with an overcharged plasma pistol shot and heard the kid flying it scream out "WHAT THE FUCCCCCCCCCK"
Anyone wanna join me in legendary co-op on two of the missions mid-game? I had to recover my gamertag the other night and apparently it recorded those two missions as only beaten in heroic, whilst everything else is in legendary. :argh: Exodus and Alexandria
sword base was fucking hell on legendary the first part wasnt that hard but after i got back and had to kill the 2 hunters THAT was fucking ridiculous i think my time was over an hour, due to taking 15 minutes trying to figure out how to kill the hunters
I found a sniper above the entrance, just shot at the hunter's necks because they couldn't shoot me at a distance.
Spent two hours last night attempting to beat the mission where you invade the enemy corvette and defend your pelican at the end. By the time I got to the third round I only had a plasma pistol left against those three elite. Fun times
Oh those clever fuckers at Bungie.net forums.. One thread was titled [sp]"Kats death is just.... Not good at all * SPOILER ALRT*"[/sp]
I miss drones :saddowns:
[sp]I just realized the bonus mission does not have a mission beginning - only rally point Omega. What does this mean?[/sp]
Oh those clever fuckers at Bungie.net forums.. One thread was titled [sp]"Kats death is just.... Not good at all * SPOILER ALRT*"[/sp]
i saw that one coming from a mile away for some reason. the whole cutscene just felt like it's gonna happen.
I found a sniper above the entrance, just shot at the hunter's necks because they couldn't shoot me at a distance.
'run in so they go all melee mode, keep running circles' always works for me. Just gotta keep them separated enough to where the second one won't be able to smack ya when you come around
[sp]I just realized the bonus mission does not have a mission beginning - only rally point Omega. What does this mean?[/sp]
[sp]Omega means the end.[/sp]

Add me my gamertag is AdroitPeregrine.
[sp]I just realized the bonus mission does not have a mission beginning - only rally point Omega. What does this mean?[/sp]
[sp] Since that is the last mission. Omega usually is related to the end or ending of something/death of something. [/sp]
I miss drones :saddowns:
They appear twice -[sp]Once in Exodus, the building with the third jammer (which is actually Reflection), and again in a canyon in The Package.[/sp]
Yeah, and people have the gall to complain about being banned for leaving while they're behind. Something like 10 threads on the b.net forums saying"OMG BUNGIE BANS SUX~"
Yeah, it's hilarious. The quitters aren't hilarious, though. In fact, they make me maaaad.
