To get the best XP you need to do it for about 30 minutes, then wait 30 mins. Also, hit the checkpoint after you call in the strike and before it hits the ground, it goes much faster. Use as many primary skulls as you can (specifically famine, cloud, stuff that doesn't affect the grinding). And play on Legendary. Yes, it's true that you get the cR from commendations, however skull multiplier/difficulty multiplier DOES affect commendations cR.

Yeah i've been doing this quite a bit, reason why i'm Onyx for Splash Damage.
It's shit though now because i get like 26 Credits each time i do it.

You should wait about 2 hours. And remember that most of the cR you get will be from ranking up commendations.
