Imagine a realistic war game. "HOLY FUCKING SHIT I JUST GOT FUCKING SHOT!!"
It's more like people picking up their own limbs and running towards the guns while screaming for their moms or trying to contain their intestines. I guess it depends on where/when.
I like swearing in games but not over done like in Bulletstorm.
I dont mind but devs need to keep it tasefull, sometimes the swearing feels forced.

Good job missing the point of the game, it's supposed to be over the top.
Reminds me of Killzone...
Personally, I don't mind, as long as it's not too over-the-top. I don't want it screamed every five seconds over my surround sound, but once every now and again isn't too bad. Would avoid some potential embarrassment if it weren't there, but it's just something I, as a gamer, have to live with.
It's also one of the reasons my studio doesn't employ voice acting, and where there is text dialogue, it's suitable for everyone. As an indie developer, I've decided to produce games that everyone can play, although they are targeted for older audiences. I prefer to use gameplay instead of ratings to determine my demographic. Sits better on my conscience that way.
I honestly think people should get what they asked for... and like everyone else said, "Oh cupcakes, I just got shot!" doesn't really sound realistic...
