You probably didnt participate in the 3.3.5 PTR, everyone that logged onto that got a PTR account in bnet
EU PTR is bugged hard.
Character copy queue is completely full for both because people keep queueing, but when a character is marked as "successful" it isnt actually put onto the PTR realms, its just mvoed out of the queue and the data is lost
a blue said that its probably going to get fixed overnight so they wont be able to give updates for a good few hours after it happens.
At the moment the 2 EU PTR realms are just full of low level characters playing as though its a brand new realm. A few hacked in Deathknights but apparantly the DK starting line is broken, so they cant do much anyway

A majority of the spells seem to be bugged on US (and I am assuming other realms) and giving off incorrect values, as an example if Brynntoll glitches out for my ret paladin every spell hits about x2 harder than usual with 8k weapon procs (got holy wrath critting at 15k at one point).
Then I was looking at some of the data for other classes, one of the shamans new talents critting at 59k (didnt screenie it), 45k pyroblasts ect.
So, even if I didn't get accepted in beta, can I still join the PTR?
And 1 question about the character copy:
If I copy my level 80 warrior to the PTR, can I still play with him on live, and will it conflict witht he PTR character, or it's like they are 2 different character, on 2 different servers?
As soon as you login to /ptr/ on either region's respective websites, a PTR account will be created for you to use while the PTR is active.
Live / PTR copies share nothing together, they're completely seperate, except when it's in the process of being copied.
Any idea when premade copies might come up again? Made a premade basically the moment Marla posted it, but it never showed up on the PTR :(
Premade queue was full when it went up, someone probably screwed up.
Hold on though, I remember this hack we used to use during 2.x PTRs, posting when I find.

Is the PvE EU server any good? I tried the pvp server but it's full of germans .___.
Deleted a file from my PTR folder, cant remembver the name but it was in data, and it stopped loading the old content and instead loaded the world for cataclysm!
Unfortunatly it still has the same boundaries as the old world, so a short distance into gilneas, i began to die of fatigue :(
Exploring new stormwind was fun though, had a peek at new tirisfal glades and dun morogh too. Sadly kalimdor is broken and just makes you crash instantly

This will probably be fixed the next PTR build, since this PTR build isn't anything more than a bastard child between Cataclysm and 3.3.5
Hell, they even put in some development stuff they should have left out, because they literally copy pasted their internal development build for 3.3.5 into the files so it'd still show the old world.

I tried it. It loads as cataclysm. Shows the new race/class combos and the Cataclysm logo and new loading screens but when i try to log in it crashes and says something about uldum.

Went to undercity on my fancy pants level 3 Undead mage with the Cataclysm thing and you can hear the citizens cheering for Arthas as you walk up to the lordaeron throne room from the cutscene in WC3.

I started downloading the PTR, and at 50% I entered the game, now when I start the launcher it keeps crashing but refuses to shut down, eventually it'll give me the error " lost connection to server ".

EU PTR Character Copies are slowly begining to trickle through now. I think if you queued them, or they were processed before the server was "fixed" then it will fail again, and you will need to requeue, however. Blizzard should hopefully speed up a little in copying characters over, and both queues should open up in the coming days :D

Yes, blizzard changes things in the levels between 1 and 80 too you know.
The whole level range needs testing ideally. Though it isnt why characters were blocked for 3 days.
i figure the "no alliance hunter" thing is a glitch, it said there were two alliance paladins and I guess one of them was probably a hunter. it was a female dwarf anyways so I don't feel that bad.

Sadly im unable to copy premades yet. Tempted to requeue my characters just incase it messes up again

I can understand leveling from 80 to 85 on the beta, you get to test new shit, but leveling is still pretty much the same as it always was, you run around killing mobs.
