And I hope they got the ability to play custom soundtracks. I really want to race with Ridge Racer tunes.
Ridge Racer music is alot like GT menu music. I quite like the music on Ridge Racer [editline]09:42AM[/editline] a ridge raceeeeer
I lap Nurnburg in 7 minutes in Shift. Hueuehueuehueh
Arcade racers like Need For Speed =\= Simulators like Gran Turismo
I've already got a Playseat with a Driving Force GT that I use for racing sims that support it. Looks like this, except the seat is black: [img_thumb]http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/774/playseatevolutionwhiteg.png[/img_thumb]
nearly 500 bucks, so almost as much as a ps3.. if it goes below 300 bucks I'll get one. [editline]06:15PM[/editline]
I'll get GT5 for the rally. The concrete racing bores the shit out of me though.
I didn't think they really got the hang of rally's in GT4, no idea what gt5's is like.. Does anyone know if Smoky Mountain is making a return? It was my favourite map... I still break out Gt3 just to play it.
Oh guise, I recently bought Enthusia Pro Racing for PS2 for a couple of quid. Probably one of the best handling console racers I've played.
"the extent and detail of simulation" [img_thumb]http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz249/zibzib200/HA_HA_HA_OH_WOW.jpg[/img_thumb]
:frog:
In response to the shitstorm: Nothing on console will ever be a sim. Stop fighting. /shitstorm over That being said I have the Forzas and GT's. I prefer Forza because I do alot of track day outings IRL and Forza's cars just feel right. Still, if you want actual simulators, get GTR Evo, Race07, rFactor, iRacing, LFS, etc. You'll probably need two wheels if you want to do Open Wheelers and Touring racing aswell. [editline]03:52PM[/editline] Also, PR057R337, judging by your posts in the cars thread you know fuck all about motor vehicles and are about 13 and a hopeless PS3 fanboy that probably hasn't played Forza. Please stop talking.
There's a GT5 demo in a Target by my brother's house and from the short amount of time I was able to play, the rally racing was much more difficult than the other available races. If difficulty and realism is your thing, you'll love the rally racing.
This will be a nice remedy to my 100mph drifts in DiRT 2 then (I love that game and it has the nice illusion of not being arcadey... but it really is).
Goddammit I wish DiRT 2 actually worked for me.
