"Bailey's, sweet and sour" I never forget that commercial. He also made the test chamber sequence in a non-stop 48-hour programming with another employee. The man has guts.
Sitting on the Throne of Woe, no less.
Yeah, he isn't Hans Zimmer/other popular guys that make tracks that sound pretty much the same thruout their entire career.

IMO they ca't be compared. And Hanz makes great tracks too, don't go dissing him. But i like how Kelly-boy is modest. He's not running around saying "HEY LOOK GUIZE I MAED MUSICKS FOR HL2 LOOK IM SO FUKKEN COOL BR00TAL" No. Instead he just keeps doing stuff while Chet and Gaben steal all the glory. Music is such an important part of them game. As is every other sound. Imagine playing HL2 with the sound turned off. Fuck my life, man.
Was he the one in that the passing gameplay with a dev and they gave pills to Louis and had a funeral for Bill?
I thought Kelly was a girls name. [editline]07:31PM[/editline] This song just impersonates Half-Life IMO
Why not?
I think it sounds boring, but that may be because I only listen to electronic music, and not rock. The HL1 ending song is my favourite.
He made the Half-Life franchise be a much more atmospheric, fun and amazing gaming experience. I love him.
This thread is true to the core as far as i know. And i know as far as i need to. +1 guys, didn't know you liked him more than i thought. Now, who has his songs on an Mp3 player, is the next step. I gonna raise my hand, got all his Half-Life related tracks on my player, awesome background music no matter what you do. Disrupted Original when a fight starts. Extinction Event Horizon when you get beaten down and your vision starts to blur. Vortal Combat when you stand up from the ground and pummel your opponent down. Triage At Dawn when you exit the scene. This works, man.
Kelly Bailey and Jeremy Soule are my favorite music composers for games.

I do enjoy the Half-Life 2 soundtrack quite a bit, listen to it by itself from time to time.
One of the reasons Bailey's probably so unheard of is because most of HL2's music is labeled under "Victor Antonov", a fucking concept artist. way to go valve
