Is the default texturepack ugly? - Games

I'm saying yes because of the cobblestone, which most of my buildings are made out of, and the gravel. Granted, gravel looks like vomit on almost every texture pack, but still.

Glass and cobblestone look like shit.

Yeah I just hate the cobble. It doesnt look bad, I just prefer other packs

I've played Minecraft since May 2009 so the other packs are neat for about 10 minutes, but then I just start thinking about how weird it looks and just go back to default.

Not bad at all, but there are better ones out there.

Default pack is fine, I only made changes to items.

The default is ok, but when you compare it to quandary you can really see the flaws.

I actually quite like the glass in default.

The default texture pack is the only pack worth playing with. I don't understand people who add custom content to the game that wasn't made by the developer.

Cobble and Glass are absolutely awful. If I place glass it's because I want to see through a window, not have white spots everywhere :argh:

Change stone to stone bricks, remove gay marks in glass, maybe dull some of the textures ever so slightly, and lower the side grass so it covers 2/3rds of the side of the block. Quandary is very good - it maintains the style and consistency of the default pack but looks cooler.

I've changed cobble, glass and glowstone and enjoying the default pack.

I actually like how ugly cobblestone is for some reason, shows which people actually put effort into their shit and not 1 material everywhere

I think that the cobblestone isnt ugly, it just doesnt fit with other textures.

I want proper fucking transparency on glass, if it's not 0 or 100 it goes black I mean if ice has it why not glass

I appreciated the default pack more before the biome update came out. Now all of a sudden my nice and green grass turned into some shitty dark khaki-ish green.

The axe and pickaxe look ridiculous.

biome grass. WHY.

If glass would look better I think it would be perfect, most texture packs are just trying it too hard, like HD ones.

Wait what's wrong with biome grass

It's not ugly, but I prefer Doku RPG way more than it.

everything but cobblestone i think that the default could be improved in some way, but it looks nice with shadows there arent many decent texture packs out there, i love realism though

It's not ugly, but there are way too many problems with it that many other texture packs fix. Glass and cobblestone to name the most common, are fixed in just about every texture pack ever.

I love the default texture pack but I am allways looking for others, after installed the new texture pack I switch to the default again. So now I've finally learned myself to not download texture packs even if it's more addicting then durgz. So I don't care:v:

Try a bunch that look good to you and see which looks best in motion in your opinion. That one will be the best texture pack, maybe not for others, but for you.
