I'm all for notch getting an office and shit, but even before the whole office thing, he said himself that some of the time, he didn't even start working on the friday update till that friday. Now he can't even be assed to do that. If he doesn't have time for friday updates, he should just say, "No more regular friday updates", instead of having us wondering every week whether or not one will come. Some of us bought the game because of how much it is updated. When I first bought it, I thought, "Yeah, this is fun, but it's so cool that he updates and fixes things so often". Now that that is coming to a stop, I think I'm allowed to be a little irked. Meh, that's what I get for buying an unfinished game.

Guys, does survival multiplayer actually work yet? I can't seem to connect to any servers (please don't kill me for being totally out of the loop, I haven't played minecraft in ages) edit : never mind

For those of you complaining about updates, read the blog. Seriously, do you think Notch is just sitting in his office not doing [b]anything[/b]? There's obviously a reason when he doesn't throw out updates here and there, and you would know if you read the blog. Pre-purchasing a game doesn't give you the rights to boss the developer around.

As it turns out, dirt is useful for a bridge over a lava moat. Since it's halfway between flammable and unflammable, it gets periodically set on fire. This allows for a decent lava moat requiring no dangerous jumping puzzles, but still keeps the mobs out. It doesn't even ignite wooden doors!

it was happening before the mods
