I have an idea for a texture pack. It's pretty in-depth though if you want to hear it.
Can i have the idea?
Thats a small before and after comparison. Click them to see full-size. It's not a major reskin, my goal is to make it look smoother and a bit cartoonish.
Yeah, it looks good. It's not something that would get a lot of hype due to its original-type style, but its something that people would enjoy to give the stock texture a nicer, smoother feel.
How do I use this NBTedit thing? It says to select my save file, but it won't let me select my World3 folder, what do I select?
Sure! Ive got time. :buddy:
On second thought, I want to have a go at making this, its a little hard to explain and I have a vision for it, sorry :saddowns: [editline]edit[/editline]
Can i have the idea?
Shit sorry, I spent like fifteen minutes typing it up :suicide:
Ok, I jumped into the depth's of my brain and have an idea. It will be amazing.
who are you supposed to mine? Like do you guys make caves or what? I just make 5x5 shafts :(
Okay, so I ditched NBTedit to try INVedit, and I get an "Unhandled exception" every time I try to do something. Anyone got any ideas?
Has an apocalypse pack been done yet? [editline]10:55PM[/editline] And how do i make a site like painterly's?
Apparently I am too stupid to install a texture pack. It says drag the contents of the zip file into minecraft.jar, however I cannot do that. I have no clue what to do.
Apparently I am too stupid to install a texture pack. It says drag the contents of the zip file into minecraft.jar, however I cannot do that. I have no clue what to do.
Open the .jar with WinRAR.
Has an apocalypse pack been done yet? [editline]10:55PM[/editline] And how do i make a site like painterly's?
I tried making an apocalypse pack once. It was a horrible recolour but the one good thing was making snow = falling ash :v:
So is this how the game goes? During the daytime you mine for minerals underground. You then use the minerals to craft armor, weapons, and a base/fort/castle which will protect you from the monsters that come out at night?
You can go underground at anytime. Anywhere there is darkness underground, a monster could spawn
So, nobody else getting that "Unhandled Exception" thing with INVedit?
Okay how was painterlys site made? I wanted my pack to have a customizer too.
Okay how was painterlys site made? I wanted my pack to have a customizer too.
It probably has either copies of every possible combination of textures or, more likely, has each tile separately and some javascript code telling the site how to generate a texture pack for you based on your input.
Well how would i make a site?
Well how would i make a site?
You'd have to learn HTML and Javascript at the least. You might be able to get some help on the programming forum. I think they have a web-development subforum. You might have to learn CSS as well, I'm not sure.
And how do i make a site like painterly's?
First you want to make a game, now you want to make a professionally designed website? Sigh... :colbert: Learn HTML.

You should add quandary to the list of texture packs. http://www.retributiongames.com/quandary/
Well i decided to entertain myslef tonight by making this I still dont like how the last frame came out but whatever.
and I swweaaaar I've seen that before.
First you want to make a game, now you want to make a professionally designed website? Sigh... :colbert: Learn HTML.
Whats the problem with that? HTML isn't particularly difficult, and although the javascript for the pack could be challenging there is plenty of help out there. Besides, what right do you have to insinuate that someone doesn't have the ability to do something they want :colbert: [editline]edit[/editline]
and I swweaaaar I've seen that before.
It's an adaption of a comic.
I asked in web development. No replies yet. :v:
It might take a while. A lot of the people there will be more interested in their own projects.
I just realized that creepers do not become truly passive when daylight comes. If there is one knocking at your door or something like that and the sun comes up, they will not leave you alone even when the sun is at its brightest. They don't become truly passive until you lose their attention, which is very difficult when you're in a small house. That pisses me off :orks:
Ok. BACK TO THE PACK! ... Now that i say that it sounds wrong.....
You should add quandary to the list of texture packs. http://www.retributiongames.com/quandary/
oh my god I want that map

Besides, what right do you have to insinuate that someone doesn't have the ability to do something they want
Well, about a week ago he said that he wanted to "make a game" with no prior coding knowledge or no idea in mind. Now, a week later he wants to "make a website" with no prior coding knowledge as well. I'm not one to judge, but he seems like the impatient type to me (80% of coding communities are made up of people that start huge projects and get 1/129081239th into the project then quit). I agree, it's not my right to judge.
