There's not much you can do to make it run any smoother but you can play on peaceful as long as you don't mind having no monsters.

I've got a 8400GS (PCI (not PCI-E)), and it runs just fine. I've also got an old 2.4GHz Celeron single-core. The main intensity of the game is RAM usage, but my measly 2GB is enough.

You don't start with a pickaxe. Enemies spawn at night. Make a workbench.

You need to craft a pickaxe. Mobs spawn at night. And have you made a crafting table yet?

Can you make metal doors that use redwire stuff to open it in Multiplayer yet? Doesn't seem to work for me.
So today I walk out of my house after being in my cave system.
First thing that happens is a creeper explodes, blowing up the front of my house.
After I rebuild it another creeper comes up and blows it up again.
Let me remind you this is during the day time.
After that A THRID CREEPER BLOWS UP MY HOUSE, SAME SPOT TOO!
After being very pissed off because of that, I walk out on top of my house only to find ANOTHER FUCKING CREEPER.
Now this bastard only managed to blow up a little of my bridge and part of my roof.
I love creepers :smile:

Wire doesn't work in SMP yet. But activators do ( levers, buttons, etc... )

Yes the wire does work, i just made a combination lock for a bank vault
