I played on normal for a while, then I made a really exposed house in the mountains and made it peaceful. That house built on a cliff is now finished, so it's time to up the difficulty again.
Just played Minecraft for the first time. Looks funny, but I don't know how to do things yet.

What would be the point? Unless you have found a massive sea of lava, you could just carry a few buckets of water with you to solidify the lava your trying to cross.

Lava is molten rock, if the boat was made of lighter rock it would float fine.
