Ah, Nevermind my help request. I found my sheet of random minecraft texture blocks.
:saddowns: Any ideas for a texture pack I could make?
Well after looking through both sheets the thing does not have my packs textures. :saddowns:
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8181473/stuck.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm stuck here. What's wrong?
Goto run (or the little search bar at the bottom of your start menu on Vista/7) and type %appdata% goto '.Minecraft' and delete the bin folder. That should hopefully fix it. (Just to be safe you should back up the bin folder first, in case I'm wrong.)
Except it is? [editline]edit[/editline] Yep, just checked - transparency works fine
HOW? I worked with it for weeks in Pixel wars without getting it to work!
Canceled my pack. Cant do metal textures to save my life.
Im building a castle I have a bank, general store, a traders outpost. Now what?
Build a gigantic glass tower to the highest point you can then fill it with lava so it can serve as a good landmark.
Build a gigantic glass tower to the highest point you can then fill it with lava so it can serve as a good landmark.
Pfft. Flatmap
Pfft. Flatmap
Too bad. They don't work terribly well on maps with mountains anyway because of the height limit. You can't make them tall enough to really be useful.

If you play the browser version of minecraft, do save files stay in the same place?
HOW? I worked with it for weeks in Pixel wars without getting it to work!
Did you try this?: Would it matter that I started with the original items.png that already had trasparency?

So a lot of people are complaining that packs like Painterly are too dark and not as cartoony as the stock textures that come with Minecraft. I'm thinking of making an "upbeat" texture pack that is unique from the stock pack, but with some nice bright, but easy to look at colors. Anybody like the idea?
I can't for the life of me make a good looking lightsaber :saddowns: [editline]edit[/editline]
So a lot of people are complaining that packs like Painterly are too dark and not as cartoony as the stock textures that come with Minecraft. Please do it

Yeah, it would probably make it look more cartoony, but just brighter altogether. Or maybe add small numerous shapes that jut out so they look as if all the blocks fit into each other. Like Legos.
I never understood pixel art shading, are there any good tutorials? Probably the only texture pack I ever liked Mixcraft.
Ehh, I want to do something unique. Not just upbeat, but what could I do that hasn't been done before?
Are you going to do 16p or 32p? Hey Prusselusken, if you're reading this, then why am I off your whitelist? I was on it before and now I'm not I guess. I didn't grief or anything. I'd send you a PM but yeah...
Ehh, I want to do something unique. Not just upbeat, but what could I do that hasn't been done before?
Oh oh oh oh! I got one! A Earthworm Jim one!
Its been done many times before, but its a good idea so if you like it go for it.
Are you thinking like cell-shaded type graphics? Example would be the game Borderlands. Like it looks like it's been drawn?
I was building a glass spiral staircase, and the farm animals seemed to like it.
Made a new level and was greeted with this sexy terrain.
