I've been playing minecraft on my friend's account, but I'm planning on buying it for myself.
I found the coolest cave today, redstone, gold, diamonds, iron, and obsidian errywhurr.
Too bad I don't plan on using redstone ever.
The only thing I've ever used redstone was for a compass. And I only made it for the sake of owning one. v:v:v

I dug my way out of a really deep cave and ended up right outside my base. It's just a short ride down a water path to get to the cave.

I'm trying to get out of my cave awesome, with no fucking ladders going up a 60 block climb with only pickaxes and iron ore. :science:

It's a map preview. It gives you isometric maps of your worlds.
This game gets pretty creepy when you hear to mobs around your tunnel, but you're not sure what direction they're in.

And the ambient music always comes at the worst times for me. :tinfoil:
I get them in my house sometimes. I'll just be relaxing, smelting some ores and waiting for them to finish and all of a sudden GWOOOOBOOOOOMMMMOOOWWWW out of nowhere. Cue shit pants, startled self, coffee on shirt, jumpy for the rest of the day.

According to this, my Open Pit Excavation Plan will bring me right down to the point where all I have to do is knock down a wall to enter a dungeon. I mapped it out to a T.

Facing a block should make the the doors hinges align with it, or maybe that's just crazy luck.
Redstone wires open doors.
Iron doors can't be opened by hand.
