Does anyone else Lava-cave mine? It's where you inch your way across the lava level until you eventually will find a cave. (You will and fast too) Sure it's high-risk, but it's exactly where all the good stuff is. You will be up to your ears in redstone and I even found some diamond. Not to mention that there's stuff on the walls and roof of the lava lakes too.

Those are my favorite. I hate maps where continents are connected by tons of land bridges. Large channels/oceans are much better.
