How the FUCK does redstone work? I'm trying to make a very simple pressure plate that changes the direction the tracks turn after it's run over once, and the redstone will not cooperate.

The thing is, I know how to power the switches. I just don't know how to use a pressure plate to toggle the power.

I ONLY JUST RECOVERED THE SMALL AMOUNT OF STUFF THAT WAS IN MY CHEST now everything is ruined, I'll have to leave and settle elsewhere. luckily I kept a boat around, gonna try and find a new place.
