That looks awesome. You should build your base there. Up through the top of the mountains. And why is there a gravel block on the tree? I've never seen anything spawn on top of one before.

Likly fell during map generation from the mountain above it, granted ive never seen one land in a tree, but hey, theres a first for everything.

Oh, sometimes when I make a new world some nearby gravel will fall to the lowest possible point, and it just so happened to be on that tree.

Thats a pretty good idea honestly, fits pretty well with the "theme" of minecraft. Its a more rustic device, with limited uses, and it is something thats easily craft. Plus hanggliding would be bad ass.

How do I take screenshots in Minecraft? Also, a few days ago I spent over an hour mining and fell into this gigantic cavern. As soon as I got in there I freaked out and filled it with torches. Next thing I know, I'm mining all of the iron and redstone I could find. I got plenty of coal too. Usually, when I come across a big empty cavern I get mobbed by skeletons and creepers.
