You can try building glass domes with regular torches inside, using the dome creation method someone posted earlier.
For simple lights, you could probably get away with having a 3x3x2 cube with a single torch inside.
Feel like starting a new world with a self imposed challenge, no using any world materials that can't be replenished, limiting me to wool and wood, no tools beyond that tier, no cooked meats or materials, it'd probably be boring, but I want to see how far I can get on just sheep, pigs, trees and leather.
I realize that world materials are replenished in the sense I can put them back, but you get the gist of my idea.

Huh, started working again by itself when I restarted.
I tried the f3+s before I restarted and it didn't work, weird.
I was going to play Minecraft today, but I found that the game would crash whenever I logged in the game. I tried the downloaded client and the Browser version, and neither of them worked. I also tried updating Java, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?
